No one can argue that summer is truly upon us. The heat of the past two weeks have really kicked things into high gear. We have been irrigating around the clock to keep the plants happy in this summer heat. Most of the plants have responded greatly to the heat and the water. There are a few of our crops who prefer the cooler weather however. Most of those crops will not be with us again until the fall.

We took a little walk around the farm to take a look at our outer fields that are currently planted into cover crops. Since we don’t spend nearly the time in these fields as those of our current vegetable fields, it is always an adventure to go out and walk them.
