Things are Greening Up

May 31, 2013 By Prairie Drifter Farm Leave a Comment

It has been pretty lively around Prairie Drifter Farm the last two weeks.  After 3.5 inches of rain 10 days ago, the weather forecast has been continually calling for a 70% chance of rain.  We have been actively working to get things done before that 70% came down upon us.  However, the 70% just kept getting pushed back a day, so we kept working like it was going to rain.  Well it has not rained; it must have just missed us because everyone around us got rain during the last few days.  So we have been able to get a lot of planting and a lot of weeding/cultivating done.  Things on the farm are looking good.  Everyone could use a little sunshine and warm weather to perk them up, especially the farmers!
