This is the time of year when we see a lot of our fearless winter-driving FedEx and UPS drivers at the farm. When we hear Abe exclaim, “The brown truck is here!” we know that another package of seeds or supplies has arrived. Abe and I had a great morning doing sorting activities yesterday as we went through the boxes of seed packets that seem to arrive daily. “Tomatoes in this pile mama!” “Brussels sprouts over here!” Going through the newly arrived seeds makes us look forward to the bounty to come in the coming season.
If you would like to be part of this bounty, now is a great time to sign up for a CSA share! We are still enjoying storage vegetables like onions, carrots, potatoes, and squash as well as all of the veggies like broccoli, brussels sprouts, tomatoes and peppers that we have put in the freezer. Produce from the farm is a welcome comfort in the depths of a Minnesota winter.
